On Wednesday 23rd March 2022, Indonesian authorities finally released the news that we’ve all been waiting for – Quarantine to enter Indonesia has finally ended!

In the circular Surat Edaran Kasatgas Nomor 15 Tahun 2022, released by the SATGAS (The Official Covid 19 Task Force), they lay out the plans to remove quarantine for all travellers entering Indonesian territories effective immediately.

Check out the key points from the circular below, as well as the official circular, (Indonesian version only at this time).

Requirements for travellers before entering Indonesia

A valid visa is mandatory (if necessary), you must download the e-HAC from the PeduliLindungi app & provide an insurance policy covering COVID-19.

Foreign travellers must provide evidence of double vaccination, with the second dose at least 14 days before entry and a PCR test 2×24 hours before departure.

People who have not had vaccination due to medical reasons are also exempt from quarantine but must attach a letter from a government hospital advising of the circumstances.

For children under 18 years of age, quarantine arrangements follow the provisions applied to parents or travel companions.

Travellers who have not been able to get vaccinated or have received the first dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure, are required to quarantine for 5×24 hours.

Requirements upon arrival

Upon arrival, travellers must adhere to an arrival PCR test. After that, travellers can go to their accommodation or residence and wait until a negative result is received, before continuing travel.

All travellers must adhere to Indonesian health protocols.
