Jakarta Visa Category
Indonesian Immigration Authorities are incredibly flexible and offer a variety of visa options for foreign nationals who have travel plans to enter Indonesia. Visas can be categorised into:
Visit Visas: Such as Visa Exemption (for special nationalities/diplomatic visa) & the Visa on Arrival for international travellers that are planning to enter Indonesia for short tourist visits.
Additional Visit Visas include: Single Entry Visas and the Multiple Entry Visa, which allows the foreign citizens multiple entries within Indonesia. The visa applicant can have their visa remain valid for 12 months if they apply for this type of visa.
Temporary Stay Permits (KITAS): Foreign nationals require a sponsor and allow visa applicants multiple entries within Indonesia. They come in a variety of types to suit each situation including: Work, Spouse, Investor, Dependent, Retirement, to name a few.
Permanent Stay Permits (KITAP): The Indonesian government is very keen to rewards long standing expatriates and under immigration law introduced a 5-year visa for those that wish to stay long term. All KITAP visas can be extended and include a re-entry permit. KITAP types include, Working, Investor, Spouse and Retirement.

Jakarta Visa on Arrival Extension

To extend your visa on arrival, either drop off your passport at our HQ office in Kuningan Jakarta or let us know and if you are in our catchment area, we can send one of our field officers to collect it. Once collected, we will submit your passport to authorities and let you know the appointment date when you need to stop by the Jakarta Immigration office for a quick biometric session. Frequently asked questions
The price for a Jakarta visa may vary based on the type of visa you choose for your arrival. If you are coming to Jakarta for tourism purposes (which is less than 60 days), you can use a Visa on Arrival. Please note that not all countries can use the Visa on Arrival. Visa extensions depend on what type of visa you are using. If you are using a Visa on Arrival, you may extend 1 time for an additional 30 days. If you are using a Single Entry Visa, you can extend 2 times, 60 days each time.
Visa Sponsorship in Jakarta
Visa sponsorship means that during your visa application you must obtain a recommendation from a local entity to act as your sponsor. A sponsor can be Indonesian citizens or a local company within the country. For example, foreigners who are married to Indonesian citizens can obtain spouse visas.
Visa issuance that requires sponsorship letters must be submitted altogether. Certain visas in Indonesia are required to obtain local sponsorship, these are the types of visas and the sponsors according to the relevant purposes. If you apply for a visa online, the visa issuance fee would later be issued to your sponsor.
Spouse and Dependant KITAS
Foreign citizens who happen to be an immediate family to an Indonesian or have Indonesian family members are eligible to apply for a spouse or dependant KITAS.
Dependant KITAS are applicable if you have family members that own KITAS, meanwhile, spouse KITAS can be obtained by a foreign citizen who is married to an Indonesian.
