Visa Services & Immigration Consulting
If you are entering Indonesia using the VoA upon arrival and plan to spend more than 30 days in the country, then you will need to obtain a Visa on Arrival Extension.
The Indonesia Visa on Arrival B1 is designated for foreigners to enter Indonesia without making a pre-organised visa, such as a Single Entry Visa.
Upon entry to Indonesia, you pay using US dollars ($35) or Rp 500.000 and you are granted 30 days in the country. If you would like to extend your stay, you will need to process an extension, that provides an additional 30 days’ stay.
The process can take up to 14 days and is very time-consuming considering the 3 trips to immigration, navigating the office and queueing.

Yes, you can extend your Visa on Arrival once for an additional 30 days, bringing your total stay to 60 days.
The extension must be done at the local immigration office before your initial 30-day period expires.
If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 60 days, you will need to apply for a different type of visa before arriving in the country. Several options are available, depending on your purpose of visit:
Social Visa: This visa is suitable for visiting family or friends, attending social or cultural events, or engaging in other non-business activities. It is typically valid for 60 days and can be extended multiple times for up to 180 days.
Business Visa: If you’re coming to Indonesia for business purposes, such as attending meetings, conferences, or exploring business opportunities, this Stay Permit is the right choice. It’s initially valid for 60 days and can also be extended multiple times.
Tourist Visa: This visa is specifically for tourism purposes and can be valid for 30 or 60 days, depending on the type. While it cannot be extended, you have the option to exit and re-enter the country on a new Tourist Visa.
Other Visas: Indonesia offers a range of other visa types, including retirement visas, student visas, and work visas. These are tailored to specific purposes and have their own set of requirements and validity periods.
