Indonesia announces the end of quarantine effective 8th March 2022!

On 8th March SATGAS (Covid 19 Task Force) released 2 circulars relating to quarantine upon entering Indonesia. One circular covering the entry points of Bali, Batam & Bintan, the other in relation to the remainder of the entrance points, e.g. Jakarta.

Check out the key points below, as well as the official circulars. Please note that the circulars have raised a number of questions that remain unanswered, we are doing our best to understand the new protocols. Please also be advised that the rules and regulations are constantly changing, if there is more details or information, we will update our social media platforms immediately.

For travellers entering Bali, Batam & Bintan

No quarantine with the following provisions:

  • Comply with local health protocols
  • Must download the PeduliLindungi application and fill out the E-Hac form
  • Show full vaccination for Covid 19
  • Must have a valid visa or is eligible for the Visa On Arrival (currently 23 nationalities)
  • Provide negative PCR test result dated no longer than 2 X 24 hours prior to departure
  • Provide proof of accommodation booking, with minimum 4 days (Bali Only) in a hotel recommended by SATGAS (CHSE approved accommodation)
  • Provide proof of health insurance
  • Must undergo a temperature and PCR test upon arrival and must not leave accommodation until a negative result is received
  • Travellers are required to carry out a PCR examination on the 3rd day after arrival in Bali, Batam or Bintan

For travellers entering all other international entry points

No quarantine with the following provisions:

  • Comply with local health protocols
  • Must download the PeduliLindungi application and fill out the E-Hac form
  • Show full vaccination for Covid 19
  • Must have a valid visa
  • Provide negative PCR test result dated no longer than 2 X 24 hours prior to departure
  • Must undergo a temperature and PCR test upon arrival
  • Must undergo health monitoring 1 X 24 hours at accommodation recommended by SATGAS for fully vaccinated travellers
  • Travellers must take a PCR test on the 3rd day after arrival
  • Foreigners with tourism visit visas must show:
  • Proof of health insurance with minimum coverage USD 25,000 including Covid 19 coverage
  • Proof of paid accommodation
